[Flash 10 is required to watch video][ Description: The first 4 minutes of the 1st episode of the WAY OVERDUE series Avatar: The Legend of Korra, depicting Korra’s proud claiming of the status of Avatar as a young child seguing into her graduation her firebending training in preparation for her to learn how to airbend with Aang’s son Tenzin. Of all her teachers, it is only the now elderly Katara — the only woman amongst them — who is openly accepting of the teenager’s enthusiasm at her own physical prowess while all the rest are more concerned that Korra’s mastery of the Avatar’s spiritual abilities seems sorely lacking… ]

WHAT IF “STAR WARS: EPISODE I” WAS GOOD? (Belated Media)
Damn. I really loved this. O_O
I would have loved that movie.
…Fuck, that would’ve made a goddamn awesome movie.
mel mel mel mel LOOK AT THIS THIS WOULD HAVE SAVED US SO MUCH PAIN re: HAYDEN
This is amazing. Yes to everything.
The fanfic at the end. GRAH. This guy is too smart. I want one.
This movie WAS all about Obi-Wan for me, and he’s right that pulling focus to him could have been the saving grace. Hell, this is the first movie character to get me reading fanfiction, because the movie didn’t do his situation justice at all.
I… I…
Episode: I - UNPOPULAR AS FUCK OPINION TIME - is actually my favorite of the Star Wars movies except maybe sometimes V. (Mainly this is because Obi-Wan is my kawaii waifu.)
AND I STILL WANT TO SEE THIS WAY MORE THAN THE ACTUAL OH MY GOD.
You know what is so awesome about this? It’s pretty damn close to what I imagined the movie was going to be! And it’s a fantastic setup for the next 2! Good job! (Oh, and major kudos for the Obi-Wan/Padme subplot. I’ve been rooting for those two crazy kids since Ep 1!)

Just… wow…
Half-Life, complete map, by Corinthian.
Full map large; just part 2 large.
[Josh says: holy dang, but he’s gone and done the rest of the game. As with his Half-Life part 1 map, tumblr’s maximum size for images leaves the notes on this image pretty much unreadable, but Corinthian was kind enough to send me the images directly, so check out the “large” links above for 2000px images that are much more legible.]

So, I finished my 365 Project a few days ago… and what a journey it was. For those of you who don’t know, a 365 Project is where you take a photo every day for a year. There’s a website (www.365project.org) where people upload and share their photos, but some people just put their photos on facebook or some other such website.
Throughout 2011, I took part in this challenge. And I enjoyed it. It was a fun and interesting experience. The first few months were especially great, as I was really into it and loved seeking out new photos to take and I was always looking for it and planning future photos. I’ll admit that the last few months were difficult. I was getting increasingly bogged down in work and I found that I was lacking inspiration, and my photos became increasingly ‘boring’ as I saw it. There were times during October but particularly November that I contemplated giving up. But then I thought, I’m so close to the end, why quit now? I still enjoyed it. I was still in the frame of mind where I kept thinking about having to take a new photo for that day. So I kept on with doing it, and I’m glad I did. It’s a nice feeling that I’ve finished it, and I can look back at all the photos I’ve taken. The good and the bad. It’s a record of a year of my life, a particularly turbulent and life-changing year for me personally.
I found that with the 365 Project, it made me approach the world and life differently almost. Most days, I feel like we just go about our business with our heads down, not really seeing or appreciating the world around us. But in looking for a new photo to take every day, I found myself looking around me more, and I noticed things about the world around me that I had never noticed before. I appreciated the world a bit more. I feel anyway.
Having said that I loved doing it, I don’t think that I’ll be for another year. At least not straight away. The next few months are quite busy and important for me at uni, so I kinda want to focus on that. Plus I think I’m lacking the inspiration at the moment to take 365 more unique photos. Having said that, while I’m taking part in another 365 project just yet, I don’t think I can particularly stop looking for new photos, and I think I will keep taking photos. Just I won’t be worrying about taking a new photo every day, and I’ll just take photos if I notice something that I want to photograph.
If any of you love photography then I’d recommend doing the 365 project challenge. It’s really rewarding. And if you do I’d suggest uploading it to the 365 website I mentioned earlier, as you can look at other peoples work, and they can look at yours and give you advice, and you can learn new techniques there. Plus there’s a weekly theme there which you can try, just to try and give you direction if you want to challenge yourself or lose inspiration.
